Description

EIT Culture & Creativity launches EUR 600 000 in funding for skills-based training in the Audio-Visual Media sector

The Audio-Visual Media (AVM) sector is undergoing rapid technological, market, and regulatory change, creating urgent new skills needs across areas such as artificial intelligence, intellectual property, and digital storytelling.

EIT Culture & Creativity has launched an open call for proposals supporting the development and delivery of skills-based Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses for Europe’s AVM sector – designed to help professionals and organisations adapt to these shifts, strengthen workforce resilience, and remain competitive.

The call funds shorter, targeted training offers designed to help professionals quickly upskill or reskill in response to emerging industry needs. Crucially, the call supports organisations that are ready to rapidly develop and deploy practical, market-relevant learning opportunities through primarily online, flexible training designed for working professionals.

The call prioritises three specific focus areas addressing key structural and technological shifts in the sector:

• The first focus area, Intellectual Property, Rights & Content Exploitation, supports training related to advanced rights management, licensing, and value creation in increasingly platform-driven and AI-mediated environments.

• The second, Artificial Intelligence in Audiovisual Production and Workflows, focuses on applied skills for integrating AI into content development, production, post-production, and distribution processes in responsible and competitive ways.

• The third focus area, Storytelling for Digital, Interactive and Cross-Media Environments, supports advanced narrative approaches for immersive, interactive, and platform-based storytelling formats.

Selected projects can receive up to EUR 75 000 in funding to design and pilot new skills-based training offers, with a total call budget of EUR 600 000. Courses are expected to be available for learners to follow at their own pace, fully online, and delivered in English to support working professionals across Europe.

A dedicated information session will take place on 30 July, offering prospective applicants the opportunity to learn more and ask questions directly to the team.
