Conditions
Typed facts extracted from the source documents by Scindu's grant-data review. Each value keeps its own conditions. Unknown means unstated, not zero or unlimited.
- Applicant restrictionUPC-AI4CI 1st Scholarship Call
- Living/transport modality 2.2 requires either monthly rental expense of at least EUR200 or residence at least 20 km from UPC Castelldefels. Applicants must document the applicable rent or distance condition. This is an OR branch for the specific modality, not a general nationality or admission rule.
No applicant residence/rental facts were assessed.
- Applicant restrictionUPC-AI4CI 1st Scholarship Call
- Applicants must be full-time degree-seeking AI4CI Master students; the call associates full time with approximately 30 ECTS per semester. Selected students must later demonstrate at least 22.5 ECTS successfully completed per semester (about 75%) to continue/release support. The admission/ECTS situation for any particular student was not assessed.
Eligibility is based on individual enrolment/academic records, not assessed here.
- Applicant typeUPC-AI4CI 1st Scholarship Call
- The support is awarded to persons/individual applicants studying or eligible to study the AI4CI Master at UPC EETAC in Castelldefels; it is an individual scholarship call, not a consortium grant. Applicants must be admitted or have applied for admission as specified for the covered cohort.
No applicant-specific admission or enrolment status was checked.
- Eligible geographyUPC-AI4CI 1st Scholarship Call
- Individual applicants must be citizens of the EU, listed EEA countries, or countries associated to the Digital Europe Programme, and must provide identity documentation showing nationality. This is a citizenship condition; no current enumeration of the “listed EEA countries” is supplied in the captured call body.
No applicant nationality was assessed; call body refers to listed EEA countries without enumerating them.
- Eligible project scopeUPC-AI4CI 1st Scholarship Call
- The call covers AI4CI Master cohorts 2025–2027 and 2026–2028. The call body describes students already enrolled in 2025–2027, pre-admitted to 2026–2027 and expected to complete enrolment, or admitted/being admitted for course 2027–2028; clause 3.1 says applicants must concurrently apply to the 2026–2028 cohort or already be enrolled in 2025–2027. This wording is preserved as written; applicant cohort/admission facts were not checked.
The call body uses different academic-year labels in its support description and requirements; preserve without reconciling individual cohort status.
- Expected number of grants (planning estimate)UPC-AI4CI 1st Scholarship Call
- 49 scholarships
Approximately 49, expressly indicative; not a guaranteed award count or number of projects/consortium members.
- Other conditionUPC-AI4CI 1st Scholarship Call
- An applicant may appeal factual or assessment errors within ten working days of results notification in writing with the specific scoring issue; the programme committee evaluates within fourteen working days and corrects rank if error confirmed. The scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarship/grant/support covering the same eligible costs. Call participation accepts the terms; the organizer reserves a justified right to extend/modify/cancel; cancellation/suspension and internet/form failures are addressed in the call disclaimer. Beneficiaries must observe the stated ethics/code-of-conduct and data-processing obligations.
No claim is made about how the organizer may exercise its reserved modification/cancellation rights.
- Other conditionUPC-AI4CI 1st Scholarship Call
- Applications are submitted through the UPC Electronic Office scholarship form. All applicants attach a cover letter addressing academic merits, motivation/plans, intended use of support, advanced-digital-skills contribution and relevant personal/social/economic/work circumstances; evidence for those circumstances; and identity document showing date of birth and nationality. Additional modality-specific material includes rent/distance proof for 2.2; mobility stay information, purpose/programme relationship and budget for 2.3; and study-purpose/quotation/invoice/payment evidence for 2.4. Costs under 2.4 need quotes dated within the 15 days before application.
Call body specifies application-stage supporting evidence and distinctions by modality.
- Other conditionUPC-AI4CI 1st Scholarship Call
- Applications under modalities 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 are assessed continuously. Within five working days after receipt, the committee assesses suitability, scores and ranks candidates and selects the highest ranked applicants who meet the call requirements. Resolutions are published on UPC e-Tauler and communicated by email the same day. The announcement does not specify that modality 2.4 is continuously assessed.
No specific decision date or applicant outcome asserted.
- Other conditionUPC-AI4CI 1st Scholarship Call
- The Funding & Tenders call body lists cut-offs 29 September 2026 at 23:59 Brussels time, 5 February 2027 at 23:59, and 5 July 2027 at 23:59, subject to budget not being exhausted. The same official F&T API metadata lists 17:00 Brussels for the date fields; the UPC Electronic Office procedure page says only “Valid until September 29, 2026 at 17:00h”; the AI4CI project consortium page says first date 8 September 2026 and 17:00 for all dates. These official pages conflict. This review retains all variants and does not silently choose a time/date or assert current portal acceptance; the current F&T record metadata has status code 31094502 with next two future cutoffs.
Official source time/date conflicts remain unresolved; live form/portal acceptance was not tested.
- Other conditionUPC-AI4CI 1st Scholarship Call
- The call states payment instalment dates by cohort, but its extracted text repeats “2nd Instalment” for the 30 July 2027 2025–2027 cohort payment, and the published 29 February 2027 payment dates are not calendar-valid in 2027. These apparent errors are retained as source defects; the schedule is not silently corrected or converted into a guaranteed payment date. The scholarship’s general actual-cost evidence and verification conditions still apply.
Dates and ordinal errors are transcription/source text observations, not legal interpretation; verify against published resolution/agreement.
- Other conditionUPC-AI4CI 1st Scholarship Call
- Funds are paid directly to recipients after verification of eligibility; actual eligible expenses with invoices and/or tickets and proof of payment are presented after each semester. Modality 2.1 covers eligible semester tuition through project end; modality 2.2 pays the allocation for enrolled months between award and project end; modality 2.3 pays actual expenses up to its modality cap. Beneficiaries must, within five working days of notification, sign the award agreement, provide bank details, declare no EU double funding for the same costs, and show at least 22.5 ECTS passed per semester (~75%). If a recipient discontinues the Master, no further support is given. The grant is not a salary or guaranteed payment.
Payment depends on verification and actual documented expenses; no salary or employment is offered.
- Other conditionUPC-AI4CI 1st Scholarship Call
- The Selection Committee (members of the AI4CI Master Committee) scores each modality separately out of 10: up to 8 points based on academic merit, plus 1 point if female and 1 point if the applicant’s prior-year annual income was below EUR21,000. The call states all are welcome irrespective of gender or socioeconomic situation; these are scoring factors, not applicant eligibility exclusions. Eligible but unfunded applications are placed on a separate reserve list per modality; a listed candidate can be reconsidered if an awardee cannot accept/refuses/loses support. The call body does not publish a full sub-rubric for the 8 academic-merit points.
No applicant income, gender, or academic score assessed; do not interpret score bonuses as eligibility restrictions.
