Terms of service

The service and the operator

• Scindu runs Scindu Clubs. Contact: iwo@scindu.com.
• Scindu Clubs gives student research clubs a public page, a member directory, a project portfolio, and matched scholarships and opportunities.
• The service is independent of universities. A club page is not an official university page.
• The service is free for clubs and members.
• To use it, you need a current web browser, an internet connection and an e-mail address.

Your account

• You must be 16 or older.
• Give true information and keep your login safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• One person, one account. Do not create accounts for other people.
• Only a club's board may create and manage that club's profile.

Your content and the licence you give us

• Your content is what you enter or upload: profile data, documents, club data, projects, images and texts. You keep ownership of it.
• You give Scindu a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, analyse, adapt, translate, display and publish your content. Scindu may use the licence to run, improve and promote the service, to develop other Scindu products, and to create statistics and anonymised datasets. Scindu may let its service providers and successors use the licence for these purposes.
• For your personal data, the privacy policy and your settings decide who sees it.
• The licence ends when you delete the content or your account. It continues for anonymised and aggregated data, for content other users have already shared with your permission, and for copies we must keep by law or for claims.
• You confirm that you have the rights to what you upload, and that it does not break the law or the rights of others.

Documents and AI

• When you upload a document, Scindu may read it with automated tools and AI models to extract information for your profile. The results can contain mistakes. Check them before you save them.
• Upload only your own documents. Do not upload documents with other people's personal data that you have no right to share.

Feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, Scindu may use them freely, without any duty to you.

Rules of use

• Do not post unlawful, false or offensive content.
• Do not add people to a club without their knowledge.
• Do not copy data from the service by automated means, and do not use member data to send unwanted messages.
• Do not try to break the security of the service or to access other accounts.

Opportunities and company requests

• Opportunities marked Sample are illustrative. They are not real calls.
• For real calls, the funder's own rules apply. Always check them at the source.
• We do not guarantee funding, a scholarship, a match or a collaboration.
• Scindu passes company requests to clubs. Any agreement is between the company and the club.

Liability

• The service is free and in active development. We provide it as it is, and it may have breaks or errors.
• To the extent the law allows, Scindu is not liable for lost profits, lost opportunities or indirect loss, and is not liable for content posted by users.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for wilful misconduct, or rights that consumers have by law.

Complaints

• Send complaints about the service to iwo@scindu.com. Describe the problem and give your account e-mail. We reply within 14 days.
• Consumers can also use out-of-court dispute resolution, for example the consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) or the EU ODR platform.

Changes, blocking and ending

• We may change the service and these terms, for example because of new features, changes in law or security needs. We tell users about important changes at least 14 days before they apply. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account before that date.
• You can delete your account at any time.
• We may block or delete accounts and content that break these terms or the law. We tell you the reason, unless the law forbids it.

Applicable law

Polish law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection that the mandatory law of your country gives you.
